A primary school in Ruislip is looking forward to a bright future after their new headteacher started in her role.

Bishop Winnington-Ingram (BWI) Church of England Primary School in Southcote Rise welcomed Mrs Blake in time for the current school year.

The new head believes BWI is the perfect fit for her and she hopes to install her belief that “every child has the opportunity to reach their potential”.

Mrs Blake said: “I am delighted to be appointed as the headteacher of BWI.

“I feel extremely honoured and privileged to have been chosen to continue to build upon the success the school has already achieved.

“Working at BWI, being part of the local community and imbedding Christian values is something I am really excited about.

“Family is very important to me; I fully understand the importance of schooling and recognise the vital importance of children attending a supportive, high quality school where every child has the opportunity to reach their potential.

“We all want the best for our children, and I have always believed that this is best achieved when schools work in unison with parents and carers.”
