Chorleywood Bookshop is thrilled to reveal the line-up of bestselling authors making their way to the village this month.
In the first week of September, visitors can enjoy talks from novelist and former journalist Robert Harris, Dr Chintal Patel, Gavin Pretor-Pinney, and Craig Brown. Also appearing will be NHS palliative care doctor Dr Rachel Clarke, who will discuss her new non-fiction book, The Story of a Heart, about how one family’s grief is transformed into a lifesaving gift for another via a heart transplant.
The following week, the bookshop will welcome bestselling crime writer Lynda La Plante OBE, much-loved broadcaster Al Murray, and bestselling author Clare Chambers.
Following this will be leading biographer and journalist Sonia Purnell chatting about her new book, Kingmaker, a fascinating account of Sir Winston Churchill’s daughter-in-law, Pamela Churchill Harriman.
Also visiting will be bestselling crime writer Janice Hallett, and leading broadcaster, actor, comedian and author Alexander Armstrong, who will be signing copies of his first children’s book, The Golden Linnet.
The final week of the month will give visitors the chance to meet former Old Bailey judge and bestselling author Wendy Joseph KC, and Ottolenghi co-authors Helen Goh, Verena Lochmuller and Tara Wigley.
