Any children taking part in the Abbots Langley Tough Ten can take advantage of some free practice sessions this month. Debra Geard of UcanJog2 will be organising running practice sessions to get kids running fit and confident ready for the 3k and 1.5k race, run alongside the main adult race on October 5. These sessions are ideal especially if this will be the first time your child will be entering these races and most importantly the 3k as it is an opportunity to learn the route and allow the children to learn how to pace themselves, which they will need when faced with running up Gallows Hill Lane! Hill training, endurance training and speed training will be included in the sessions. Cost is £1 per child per session which will be donated to the Tough Ten Charities. All children must be registered prior to the session by visiting www.UcanJog2.com and then click on the Kids Running page. Due to insurance restrictions children will need to be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for their child during the session. The adult can be responsible for up to five children (not necessarily just their own child but other children known to them). Meet at Manor House Grounds – Dates of Sessions are: Sun 7th Sept 5pm Weds 10th Sept 6.15pm Sat 20th Sept 5pm Weds 24th Sept 6.15pm
