Abbots Langley Parish Council (ALPC) has opened nominations for its annual Civic Awards, with residents invited to nominate their community heroes in four different categories.
Since ALPC founded the Civic Awards in 2007, there have been over 40 winners.
This year, ALPC is encouraging nominations for residents who have gone the extra mile and made outstanding contributions to the local area.
Residents have been asked to nominate candidates in the categories of Outstanding Achievement, Local Community Group, Service to Local Community, and Local Young Person(s). Only people aged between 16 and 25 are eligible to be nominated for the Local Young Person(s) Award.
The deadline for nominations is Saturday, March 15. The winners will be invited to the chairman’s reception dinner on Saturday, April 12.
A statement from ALPC said: “Once again, residents from across the parish are invited to nominate their local heroes for an award! These awards provide the perfect opportunity to thank them for all they do.”
