Last month, Pinner residents flocked to the streets to enjoy the annual Pinner Royal Charter Fair, which has been going on for an impressive 687 years.

The first Pinner Fair was held in 1336, when it was granted by Royal Charter by King Edward III. Other than being cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19, the fair has run every year since then, drawing in thousands of residents even those who have moved on, back for a day of fun.

This year’s event took place on May 29 and was its biggest yet. Visitors enjoyed rides, games, tasty snacks, and stands.

Pinner resident Jason Paul headed to social media and said: “Every year since 1336, Pinner Fair has returned standing as a testament to our community’s rich heritage and enduring spirit.

“This event is more than a fair; it’s a living history that brings generations together.”
