Students from St Helen’s School in Northwood are still buzzing after an unforgettable skiing trip to the Italian Alps at the end of last term.
For these enthusiastic Year 9 students, an adventurous week in Sauze d’Oulx over the December break turned a dream into reality.
Despite the cold and challenging conditions, the girls jumped into their skiing gear, boots, goggles, and equipment before courageously making their way to the slopes.
Days were spent skiing in both Sauze and Sestriere, with both resorts offering wide open runs, quiet forest routes and plenty to challenge the girls to find their rhythm. When not gripping ski poles, karaoke was in full swing alongside laser tag, which was said to quickly turn into a “fast-paced” competition.
Sharing the fun-filled trip on Facebook, St Helen’s reflected: “It was a full, lively trip with lots of progress on the snow and just as much off it. The sort of wonderful week that students will be talking about for a very long time indeed.”
