Officers across Pinner, Pinner South and North Harrow have arrested a man relating to multiple stalking incidents.
On Monday January 27, MPSHarrow shared to their social media that they had spotted a male suspect at Sainsbury’s in Pinner, who had been linked to stalking a female.
The post said: “After checks were carried out, he was arrested for multiple stalking incidents.
“Great work by officers on patrol. If you ever feel unsafe or feel like you are being followed, then please report this to the police.”
This comes after Mayor of London Sadiq Khan launched a new scheme in December last year, which aims to tackle stalking offences.
The scheme is running until March 2026 and will see stalking offenders in London fitted with GPS tags on their release from prison to reduce re-offending.
Mayor Khan said: “Stalking is an horrendous crime that can have a long-lasting impact on victims. I’m pleased to launch my new GPS stalking pilot today which will play a key role in preventing reoffending and safeguarding victims.”
