A body was found on the train tracks at Watford North this morning (November 4).
British Transport Police were called at 7.12am to reports of a body being found on the tracks.
Officers and paramedics attended but the person was pronounced dead at the scene and officers are now working to identify and inform the family.
Enquiries are also being made to establish how the person died.
The station and the Abbey Line between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey has been closed.
No trains are running on the line until further notice.
A number of police and ambulance vehicles are still at the scene and have been this 7.15 this morning.
