Michael Sobell Hospice (MSH) in Northwood recently held their Light Up a Life Remembrance Ceremony in honour of lost loved ones.
The ceremony which took place on November 28 took place inside the MSH Fundraising Building, consisting of music kindly provided by choir Lemon Tuesday, and readings, ending with the lighting of a Christmas tree.
The ceremony provided a reflective moment to remember those no longer with us, with an invitation to dedicate a light to a loved one with a personalised message that will be displayed as a star upon the tree throughout Christmas and New Year.
Liz Skipper, head of charity at MSH, said: “I’d like to send my heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended our Light up a Life Remembrance Ceremonies yesterday, a poignant tribute to honour, and remember, those individuals no longer with us. Thank you to all our speakers, and an extra special thank you to the wonderful Lemon Tuesday choir for their uplifting music and support.”
The hospice will also be hosting its popular Christmas Market this weekend (December 4-5) from 10-4pm.
The festive fair held at the Michael Sobell Hospice Fundraising Hall will feature a range of different stalls, a café, and a Santa’s Grotto.
A list of stallholders due to be at the event, can be found here.
