Chorleywood Parish Council has submitted plans to demolish an unused building in the village to make way for a new dwelling.
Three Rivers District Council (TRDC) validated the application in March. The plans include the demolition of the Swillet Sports and Social Club, construction of a two-storey dwelling with new vehicular access, and parking and landscape works.
Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) commented on the application: “HCC as Highway Authority would not wish to object to the granting of planning permission. The applicant would need to enter into an agreement with HCC as Highway Authority in relation to the approval and construction of the necessary highway works.”
A Local Biodiversity Checklist was also undertaken, suggesting the development would not affect biodiversity in anyway.
One resident shared: “Fears still remain about the effect that the development will have on the residents while the work is being carried out.”
