LET’S GO: Radlett school summoning participants for virtual journey across Britain

Published on: 15th September 2020   |   By: Jake Levison   |   Category: Uncategorized

Newberries Primary School in Radlett is inviting residents to take part in a community journey from Land’s End to John o’ Groats this Autumn.

The Friends of Newberries are trying to raise much needed funds for the school by getting schoolchildren and parents, along with the wider community, to pitch in with the virtual 874-mile journey across Britain.

Participants, who can run, walk, cycle, or even scooter-ride their miles, are each asked to raise a minimum of £4 per mile, either by fundraising or kindly donating the money themselves.

You can chip in with as many or as few miles as you like between now and the end of November – and if you needed incentive to push yourself, Giant Store Radlett are giving a mystery prize away to child and adult who complete the most miles.

Solicitors Debenhams Ottaway are also sponsoring the event by giving free water bottles to all participants.

To sign up for the challenge, get in touch with Julie Caplan by emailing PTAnewberries@gmail.com

Julie can also send you the school’s PayPal link if you wish to donate to Newberries without participating.
