Chalfont St Peter Cricket Club has seen a record number of Juniors join this year and entries are still open.

The club’s membership is now at 230 but chairman Ian Williams is encouraging people to get in touch if they are interested in joining.

He said: “We have seen a record number of Juniors join this year with membership now at 230, and in 2022 we will be looking to establish two girls teams, and also if there is enough interest, a ladies softball side.

“We had a successful season, following promotion last year the 1st XI have established themselves in division 5, however through no fault of their own, due to a reorganisation of the league, it may see them demoted this year.

“Our 2nd XI have won TVCL division 7 and now will move up to Division 6 and we have established a 3rd XI this year, mainly comprising our Juniors. We are looking to establish a 4th XI in 2022.”

Ian added: “Thanks to our kind donors and fundraisers, this year we have managed to fund an electronic scoreboard, purpose built BBQ area, new car park surface, six metres high car park fence to protect cars in the car park, as well as an expanded bar.

“We are extremely grateful  to CGI for sponsoring our adult shirts, and also Yalden DIY and Garden for sponsoring our junior shirts.

“In September we will be forming an all inclusive primary school football section that will run on Saturday mornings, please see the website for more information.

“We also host The Fit House on the first floor, experts in Personal Training, Group Classes and Nutrition.”
