A bench has been unveiled in Radlett to pay tribute to former chairman of Aldenham Parish Council (APC) Ron Worthy.
Ron, who was first elected as a parish councillor in May 1999 and served on the council for 16 years, passed away on September 1, 2019, following a period of illness.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, November 5, councillor Caroline Clapper said: “Alongside my fellow Radlett councillors, David Lambert, Lucy Selby and Brett Rosehill, we were proud to unveil this new bench that we funded on Radlett High Street, outside Fress – dedicated to the memory of Ron Worthy, former chairman of APC.
“Ron was a tireless advocate for our community, and his legacy of service will live on here in Radlett.
“We hope this bench offers a peaceful spot for residents to sit, reflect, and remember the positive impact Ron made on all our lives. Thank you, Ron, for everything.”
