Leavesden Country Park is in the running to be named the UK’s Best Park 2019 in the East of England and the public are being asked to help it win the honour.
The park, at College Road, Abbots Langley, has been put forward for the prize by Fields in Trust.
There is a description of the park on the organisation’s website.
It reads: “With its three distinct areas this Green Flag park with 10 hectare meadow, world class sculpture park, heritage and wildlife centre, two modern play areas, cafe, cycle hub, and MUGA and fascinating history of the Leavesden Hospital, orphanage and WWII hospital has something for everyone.”
