Kings Langley suffered a 2-1 defeat to second place Taunton Town on Saturday afternoon (April 12) meaning they slip out of the play-off spots.
The home side started well with a swooping free kick which forced an Alex Tokarczyk save to stop the incoming header.
But Taunton scored two goals in quick succession thanks to striker Rocky Neal who netted the opener and then followed this up with a shot from the edge of the box into an open goal after Tokarczyk slipped.
The Lango showed their dominance in the second half and after a scramble inside the box, Steve Ward poked the ball into the back of the net to make it 2-1.
There was a penalty shout towards the later stage of the second half for handball, but the referee called for a corner.
Despite late efforts in the last 10 minutes, The Lango weren’t able to secure a point.
Poole now take fifth position off The Lango on goal difference.
