The owner of Kings Langley Barber Shop in Waterside felt “honoured” to finally meet the founder of the shop.
The visit from Ron, who opened the barber shop in 1942, was a dream come true as one of his wishes was to see the shop “one more time”.
Owner Clare Smith, who took over the barber shop in November 2017, was honoured to receive a visit from Ron, who she described as a “legend”.
Ron told stories of how the shop used to look and the many customers he helped serve when he worked there.
Clare said: “Ron’s visit was like a royal visit; I always wanted to meet him. I felt honoured to meet the original owner who made a success of this tiny little space. I am proudly able to carry on his legacy.”
