KICK-ABOUT: 5-a-side football to raise money for hospices

Published on: 6th February 2022   |   By: Bryn Holmes   |   Category: Uncategorized

Two hospices are teaming up to form their first ever a 5-a-side football tournament.

The Michael Sobell Hospice Charity in Northwood and Harlington Hospice will be holding the event on May 21 later this year, to be hosted at Goals Ruislip sports complex.

The hospices want individuals and businesses to put forward teams for the tournament, with the top three sides winning medals and the competition champions earning themselves a well-deserved trophy.

The entry price for a team of eight players (five on the field and three substitutes) is £400, which will also cover a meal from the burger bar, with a cash bar also being on site. Supporters will also be able to make use of the burger bar and the facility’s restaurant.

All money raised at the event will go towards helping the hospices continue their work in day-to-day free palliative care.

For further information or to get a registration form, contact the hospice’s fundraising department at fundraising@michaelsobellhospice.org for email or call 0203 9090 446.

The Michael Sobell Hospice are also currently looking for book donations, to be used for their weekly book stall which also raises money for the charity.

If you have any books lying around the house that you wouldn’t mind getting rid of, please contact Kamal at the Michael Sobell Hospice via kamalsood1942@gmail.com by email or on 07935 362154 through phone. Any style of book or genre is welcome.
