Protesters from campaign group Just Stop Oil have continued their action, staging another protest at Buncefield Oil Depot in Hemel Hempstead.
Police were called at approximately 3.12am this morning (Sunday, April 3) to reports of protest activity at Buncefield Oil Terminal in Green Lane, Hemel Hempstead.
This follows a protest on Friday, April 1, (pictured) where 27 people were arrested.
Hertfordshire Police confirmed officers were at the scene within five minutes and established that around 33 protesters were at the site. The majority of protestors were blocking the entrance, and a number of them had managed to gain access to inside of the terminal.
In line with standard procedure, officers initially engaged with the group, informing them that if they did not leave the site they would be arrested. Some 19 protestors left the scene at this stage.
Hertfordshire Police also confirmed that an investigation is underway, with police working as quickly as possible alongside the CPS, partner organisations and other affected forces, to build up the required evidence with the view of bringing charges against those involved.
