The Pinner Association (PA) is organising a series of events to get the community involved in festive celebrations.
Julie Waller, chair of the PA, spoke to Pinnernews and said: “Each year, the PA organises and pays for all the festive lights and trees that are shining brightly in Pinner.
“Over the last few years, we have switched on the festive lights on Bridge Street and the High Street at different times. This is happening again this year.”
On Friday, November 10, the association switched on the festive lights on Bridge Street to acknowledge the beginning of Diwali, the festival of lights. Not only was the Mayor of Harrow councillor Ramji Chauhan in attendance, but the team were joined by Dhol2Dhol for a fantastic drum performance to kick the celebrations off.
At 5.30pm on Thursday, November 30, the PA will switch on the Christmas lights and tree on the High Street and all are invited to come along.
The West Lodge School choir will also be in attendance to get everyone into the festive spirit with some Christmas carols.
