‘IRREPLACEABLE BRACELET’: Appeal after sentimental jewellery goes missing in Shenley

Published on: 22nd July 2025   |   By: Nik Allen   |   Category: Uncategorized

Police are releasing images of a man they want to identify following a theft in Shenley.

At around 9.30am on Saturday, June 28, a woman aged in her 80s dropped a bracelet outside Tesco on Andrew Close.

After an appeal went out via her family on social media, someone said they had seen it on top of the bin outside the store, but when the family went to look, it had gone.

Officers are sharing the images of a man they want to speak to because the person pictured may have been in the area at the time and could have vital information.

PC Sarah Ellis, from the Potters Bar and Shenley Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This bracelet holds huge sentimental value and was made by the victim’s husband who now sadly has dementia.

“All she wants is for this irreplaceable bracelet to be returned safely to her, and I am appealing for anyone with information to contact us.

“We appreciate someone may have picked up the bracelet with the intention of returning it, or didn’t realise it belonged to someone. Please get in touch so we can reunite it with its owner.

“If you saw the bracelet, took it, or have seen it for sale or discarded anywhere, please get in touch via email at Sarah.Ellis@herts.police.uk
