Hatch End pupils who were inspired by a visit from two artists have created their own art banner.
Sarah Pimenta from Social Fabric and Joseph Porpiglia from Artists in Residence visited students at Hatch End High School (HEHS) in May.
Social Fabric have worked with more than 400 schools in the last two decades, with the aim of inspiring pupils through their inclusive approach to art.
Artists in Residence worked with HEHS to help them improve their art curriculum by connecting them with an artist to co-design a residency project.
The experience and knowledge gained from the artists’ visit led to pupils at HEHS creating their own school banner, which is now proudly on display.
The school tweeted: “Following recent workshops with visiting artist Sarah Pimenta and Joseph Porpiglia, our new art banner designed by HEHS students has arrived and looks fantastic.
“A huge well done to everyone involved.”
Sarah Pimenta from Social Fabric said: “It’s great to see the banner so beautifully displayed; it looks fab.”
