An international fragrance company has made a major donation to a St Albans-based homelessness charity.
CPL Aromas have donated £50,000 to Emmaus Hertfordshire, which the charity has used to hire a new community support manager. Harley Scott will lead the team in providing specialist support to those living on the streets dealing with issues such as trauma and addiction.
Also thanks to the donation, the charity has now provided 36 previously homeless people with a stable home and much-needed support.
The fragrance house has now donated a further £50,000 to the national Emmaus charity, which will support initiatives across the country aiming to tackle rough sleeping.
Duncan Lewis, chief executive of Emmaus Hertfordshire, said: “A massive thank you to CPL Aromas for their ongoing support which has been incredible and is enabling us to provide much-needed additional resources to our support team.”
