Two Chorleywood carers have reached the national round of judging in the Barchester Care Awards 2023.
The awards celebrate staff who go the extra mile for the benefit of the 13,000 residents living in Barchester’s 252 care homes and private hospitals across the country.
Chorleywood Beaumont’s Nadica Babik, nominated for Hospitality Champion, and Julija Paklar, nominated for Carer of the Year, were crowned division winners, and have entered the final stage. They will join winners from across the UK at a special awards event in October.
Nadica said: “I am so overwhelmed; I cannot believe it. I absolutely love my job and adore the residents and their families. I am so grateful they nominated me.”
Julija said: “This is the best news. I am so proud to be part of a great team and honoured to support the residents at Chorleywood Beaumont.”
Ramona Stanciu, the care home’s general manager, said: “This is an amazing achievement to have two winners and the whole home is supporting Nadica and Julija. We are so proud of them. They are both dedicated and caring individuals and are loved by everyone. This achievement is so well deserved.”
