£17,000: Goods stolen from lorry in Watford

Thousands of pounds worth of goods have been lifted from a lorry in Watford.

The incident happened at around 8.25am on Thursday, June 29.

A lorry was driving along St Albans Road when a vehicle pulled in front, bringing the lorry to a stop.

A group of people then exited the vehicle and entered the rear of the truck, stealing goods worth more than £17,000.

PC Yasmin Lermer, who is investigating, said: “We are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.

“Were you in the area at the time? Did you see what happened? Or did you see something suspicious?

“Please get in touch with any information you have, no matter how small. You can email me at quoting crime reference 41/52368/23.”
