Watford continued their good pre-season form by beating Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at Vicarage Road this afternoon.
Goals from Domingos Quina and a penalty from Andre Gray was enough for the victory, despite Heung Min Son scoring from the spot with 10 minutes remaining.
Tottenham were without some key players, including Harry Kane, with the internationals also taking place.
Quina opened the scoring on the 20th minute with a long-range effort, whilst Gray doubled the Hornet’s lead just before half time from the spot.
Tottenham got themselves back in the game on the 79th minute with their own penalty, but Watford held on to the impressive pre-season victory, ahead of their opening Championship game against Middlesbrough on Friday night.
