The MP for Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner is encouraging constituents to apply for a new grant designed to improve the energy efficiency of homes, reduce energy bills and create jobs in local construction firms.
David Simmonds CBE MP endorsed the new £2billion Green Homes Grant earlier this month, saying it has been a priority for the Conservative Environment Network.
The Green Deal helps you make energy-saving improvements to your home and find the best way to pay for them.
The improvements that could save you the most energy depend on your home, but typical examples include: insulation, such as solid wall, cavity wall or loft insulation, heating, draught-proofing, double glazing and renewable energy generation, such as solar panels or heat pumps.
You can find out if your home will benefit by going to gov.uk/green-deal-energy-saving-measures.
