A beloved Stanmore resident has been nominated for the Above and Beyond award in the upcoming mylocalHERO awards.
David Cooper, of Green Lane, has been recognised by his neighbour Katherine Isle for his devotion to supporting others in the local community.
David is described as the first to lend a hand to anyone in need, whether it be taking the bins out for neighbours, assisting the elderly with household issues, or being just a phone call away when someone needs assistance.
Katherine said: “I’ve been David’s neighbour for seven years; when I leave this place, I will want to take him with me!
“I’ve always wanted to nominate him as he is so worthy of recognition. He is a lovely, remarkable person in our little community.
“He always ensures everything is kept, trimmed, pruned and tidy. His willingness to help anyone is a testament to the great, lovely person he is.”
The mylocalHERO awards will take place in November 2024.
