Housing Association Pledges Improvements after Meeting with Hertsmere MP

Published on: 15th February 2018   |   By: Jason Allen   |   Category: Uncategorized

Following complaints to him by local residents, Oliver Dowden, Member of Parliament for Hertsmere, has met with Affinity Sutton, one of the Borough’s largest housing associations, to discuss the association’s service and care for its tenants.

Mr Dowden organised the meeting on behalf of his constituents and on the day he met with Mrs Anne Brighton, Head of Eastern Operations for Affinity, at their Hertsmere offices.

Speaking afterwards, he said: ‘I know lots of people are sick and tired with the performance of Affinity Sutton and many residents have been in contact with me to complain. That’s why I wanted to meet face to face to raise these concerns.

‘At the meeting we covered a number of issues, including problems around anti-social behaviour, delays to repairs and the need for better customer service.

‘I was glad that they listened to these points and assured me that they are making improvements.

‘We agreed to stay in close contact and as Hertsmere’s MP I’ll continue to make sure that residents’ voices are heard by those responsible for vital local services.’
