A bid has started to get a chant going at Watford FC’s home game against Arsenal tomorrow to pay tribute to a fan who recently passed away in tragic circumstances.
50-year-old Dominic Tucker sadly died in a house fire at his home in Berkhamsted earlier in the week, despite valiant attempts from his neighbour to save him.
Dominic was a life-long Hornets supporter, and now a friend of his is encouraging fans to sing a special chant in tribute to him at Watford’s next home match at Vicarage Road on Sunday, March 6.
The chant will be the simple and sweet salute of “there’s only one Dominic Tucker”, and will be sung in the second half, in the 50th minute of the match, to commemorate Dominic’s age when he passed away.
The message has been shared through social media, with Watford legend Luther Blissett also passing on the word, stating it would be another example of supporters “coming together as we Hornets were brought up to do by the Great Man, who will now have Dominic safely on that golden bench”.
