A Radlett-based Watford fan was “over the moon” after presenting Javi Gracia with the Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month award.
Ayush Oza, 21, got to meet the Hornets boss and present him with the award for his impressive August form.
The Watford Road resident was offered the opportunity because he works for Barclays on a grad-scheme and has been a Watford fan from a very young age.
His dad, Parag, said: “He was ecstatic, completely over the moon. He’s been a fan since he was maybe six or seven so it was a massive moment for him… we’ve had season tickets at Watford for maybe 15 years now.”
Javi Gracia was presented with the award after the club’s impressive start to the season when they beat Brighton and Hove Albion, Burnley and Crystal Palace in their opening three matches. They made it four wins from four when they beat Tottenham 2-1 at Vicarage Road the following week.
To add to the experience, Ayush was featured on Watford FC’s official YouTube channel. In the video celebrating Gracia’s achievement, Ayush is seen presenting the award to the manager and smiling with him.
