Watford FC have made a double swoop securing deals for two international players. The Hornets signed Cameroon international defender Allan Nyom from Udinese on a four year deal. The right back has completed a permanent move to Watford and will join up with Quique Sanchez Flores’ squad on their pre-season training camp in Germany. Born near Paris, Nyom broke through at French lower league side Arles-Avignon before securing a move to the Italian Serie A with Udinese in 2009. He was immediately loaned to Granada, and remained with the Spanish outfit as they rose through the divisions from Segunda Division B to La Liga. The 27-year-old featured more than 200 times for El Graná – including 135 appearances in the Spanish top flight – where he remained up until the end of last season. Nyom represented Cameroon at the 2014 World Cup, performing against Mexico, Croatia and hosts Brazil. The Golden Boys also announced the signing of Swiss international midfielder Valon Behrami on a three year deal. Behrami couldn’t hide his delight at signing for Watford. He said: “This is a great club and I know the way the owners work. They’ve made some great signings. “I’ve followed Watford since Gianfranco Zola was the manager. I played for him at West Ham and since then I was always looking out for Watford. “Finally the time has arrived when Watford are back in the Premier League and it was a good solution for me, so I’m very happy now. “It’s very attractive; when Mr Pozzo called me I was excited. It’s a new adventure for me, a new challenge, and I’m really hungry for this opportunity.”
