HONOURS LIST: Residents across Herts and Bucks celebrated in the Queen’s Birthday 2021 Honours

The Queen’s Birthday 2021 Honours have been announced with several Hertfordshire residents amongst those who have been honoured.

The list includes residents from across Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire many of whom are being honoured for their efforts throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Several residents across Herts were awarded Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE):

Linda Ann Crowe from Watford, senior project manager for health and social care network at NHS Digital was awarded an MBE for her services to health and care particularly during COVID-19.

Catherine Ann Pelley from Abbots Langley, chief nurse and director of clinical governance at Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust was awarded with an MBE for her services to nursing leadership in the NHS.

Francis Arthur Runacres from St Albans, executive director for enterprise and innovation at Arts Council England was awarded an MBE for services to the arts.

Geoffrey Michael Simmonds from Bushey, trustee at Pavillion Opera Educational Trust was awarded an MBE for services to education.

Jaime Bree Smith, from Watford director of the mental health and wellbeing in schools programme at Anna Freud Centre was awarded an MBE for services to education.

In addition several residents across Herts were awarded Medallists of the Order of the British Empire (BEM):

Angela Mary Dukes from Watford, a member of the site staff at Watford Grammar School for Boys was awarded a BEM for services to education.

Dr William Alan Hawkshaw from Radlett was awarded a BEM for services to music and composing,

Jon Pratten from Hemel Hempstead, chief executive officer at Jubilee House Care Trust was awarded on BEM for services to people with learning disabilities in Hertfordshire during COVID-19.

Elizabeth Mary Timmons from Watford voluntary inpatient unit assistant at Peace Hospice Care was awarded an BEM for services to terminally ill patients.

Those included on the Honours List from Buckinghamshire include:

Ian Mccubbin from Chalfont St Peter, a manufacturing expert on steering committee, vaccine taskforce, who has been honoured with a CBE for his services to Life Sciences.

Peter Griffth Beirne from Amersham, Senior Investigating Officer for Thames Valley Police, who has been honoured with an MBE for services to policing.
