A 10-year-old Radlett boy has smashed his fundraising target for his school’s chosen charity.
Harry Jaffe, a pupil at Manor Lodge School in Shenley, decided he wanted to help raise funds for Sebby’s Corner, a charity supporting families in need by providing supplies such as food and baby formula.
Harry set himself the challenge of running the length of a marathon (26.2 miles) over the course of the month of June. He completed his task with great gusto, despite facing several days of blistering heat.
He has smashed his original target of £500, raising a total of £1,562.
Harry’s mum Stacey told Radlett News: “The fabulous team at Sebby’s Corner have been so supportive and cheering him on all the way.
“We are so proud of him for what he has achieved and since have been to visit Sebby’s Corner to see how the money Harry raised will be used.”
