HELPING OUT: Kings Langley Carnival returns with new feature on community groups

Published on: 7th June 2024   |   By: Bryn Holmes   |   Category: Uncategorized

Preparations have stepped up for the annual Kings Langley Carnival, which returns to the village on Saturday, June 22.

From 12pm to 5pm, the Common will be buzzing with live performances, a raffle with exciting prizes, and stalls ranging from local crafts to hot food.

At this year’s event, the organisers are making even greater efforts to highlight local businesses and the work of local community organisations with a Community Corner.

Carol Chandler, chair of the Carnival Committee, explained: “The idea is to give those organisations that play such a large part in the fabric of our village, the opportunity to publicise who they are and what they do. Not everyone can have a stall on the Common, so this is an opportunity to advertise their contribution and for community organisations to attract new volunteers.”

If any would like to provide A5 flyers for your business or organisation, these will be displayed in a dedicated, manned marquee on the day of the carnival. To find out more, please get in touch with Wayne Hill at hillwayne78@gmail.com

Carol added: “We hope everyone will find something of interest and something they would like to get involved with. It is a great way to make friends with like-minded people.”
