Charities in Northwood assisting people in the pandemic and the NHS are set to receive a financial boost thanks to the Northwood Hills Residents Association (NHRA).
The group has donated £500 to H4All, a charity asking for donations to fund buying food for people in need as a result of the pandemic and the Kate Fassnidge charity who are purchasing non-perishable food items.
The food items will be distributed by charities including H4All
Andrew Riley, chairman (pictured), sent a letter to residents and supporters saying it is important for the community to join together and support each other at this time of crisis.
He said the association has another fundraising opportunity.
Andrew explained: “April 1 is the start of the NHRA financial year, which is when our £3 membership fees normally become due. In the main our network of Road Stewards collects these. This year that will not possible, so your Committee is asking you to please pay your £3 subscription on-line.
“If you do so, NHRA will donate all membership fees received by June 30 to the NHS for a local project yet to be determined.”
Anyone who wants to donate is ask to make a payment to the NHRA bank account.
