A church in Kings Langley has stepped up to offer support to those in the community who may be going through a difficult time.
All Saints’ Church in the village is offering a telephone support scheme, available to anyone who would like someone to talk to.
Father James, team Vicar at All Saints’ said the telephone scheme is a way to reach out to those in the community who may be in need of regular contact.
He said: “We want to offer this to anyone in the village, to people of every faith and none, as a way of supporting the community, it is an offer of friendship and regular contact/conversation.
“We hope we can reach out to anyone who needs that support.”
Barbara, a resident who is supported by the scheme, said: “The phone rings and I wonder who that might be and it is great to hear and friendly voice on the other, it is good to talk.”
