HELP WANTED: Kings Langley Community Library appeals for more volunteers to join

Published on: 19th February 2025   |   By: Ellie Rose   |   Category: Uncategorized

Henry Ward Beecher once said: “A library is not a luxury but one of the necessities of life.”

Thankfully, volunteers at Kings Langley Community Library are committed to providing this vital service for residents.

Around 40 volunteers support customers, lead children’s activities, and help with fundraising or managing the library.

A small committee of four volunteers manage the administration, but they are now looking to expand this to be able to increase their efforts in volunteer training, event management and promoting library activities.

They are appealing for anyone who can either be a committee member or assist committee members.

As one of 13 community libraries in the county, they follow all the rules and procedures set out by Hertfordshire County Council and have regular meetings with the Library Service to discuss progress.

You can register your interest by leaving your details with one of the volunteers in the library or emailing kingslangleyvolunteers@hotmail.com
