HELP OUT: Councillors help Watford charity deliver ‘small acts of kindness’

Published on: 28th December 2021   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

A group of councillors for the Woodside have been working once again with a charity that provides help for the elderly in Winter.

Small Acts of Kindness is a Watford-based charity that aims to make sure every elderly person in the area feels warm and connected to their outside community this winter. They’ve even recently won the Queen’s award for voluntary service.

The organisation puts together small winter bags filled with things that’ll help older residents through the cold season.

Throughout December Lib Dem councillors Glen Saffery, Ann Saffery, Richard Wenham and Tim Williams have helped the charity to deliver these bags across the Woodside, Lancaster Court and Dale Court areas.

Cllr Glen Saffery said of the charity: “Lynne Misner and her team do an amazing job across Hertfordshire, and we’re delighted to pitch in and help every year.”
