Former Langleybury School teacher Anthony Shenton, who was convicted in 2021 for sexually abusing boys at the school during the early 1960s to the 1980s, is the subject of a renewed witness appeal by law firm Bolt Burdon Kemp.
Shenton, who served as a Design & Technology teacher, was sentenced to 15 years in prison after a four-day trial at St Albans Crown Court.
Prior to his trial, Shenton had pleaded guilty to 15 child abuse offences but had denied four offences of indecent assault, one offence of rape of a child, and one of indecency.
The abuse occurred at various locations, including on the grounds of Langleybury School, at afterschool clubs, and during school trips involving canoeing and skiing.
Bolt Burdon Kemp is now seeking additional witnesses who may have information about Shenton’s actions during his tenure at the school.
The firm encourages former pupils or anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist with ongoing investigations. Individuals can contact solicitor Elise Carnot directly via email at elisecarnot@bbkllp.co.uk or by phone or text at 07778 472782.
