GIVE AND TAKE: Exciting fundraising event for unwell Radlett mum

Published on: 24th October 2019   |   By: Jake Levison   |   Category: Uncategorized

Friends of a single Radlett mum suffering from cancer are raising money for her through an afternoon tea event and a fundraising page.

Caroline Brenson, a very active member of the Radlett community, is fighting cancer for a second time and the community is being urged to get behind her and support her financially as she isn’t able to work while receiving treatment.

The Radlett resident, who has two children; Jack, 15 and Tilly, 11, was originally diagnosed with cancer last year and was in remission after a long period of treatment. The cancer unfortunately returned recently and has spread.

Caroline, who’s volunteered with local scouts, worked at community schools and Tabard RFC, had already been through a lot prior to her initial diagnosis; she lost her mum to cancer three years ago and her brother the following year.

Her friends are rallying behind her through a fundraising page and by holding their afternoon tea event, ‘A Little Give and Take’, for Caroline next month.

The family-friendly event, which will be held at Tabard Rugby Football Club, Cobden Hill, will have pre-loved clothes on sale and will also involve a raffle, both of which residents are being invited to donate to.

Attendees of the November 10 event, held from 3pm to 6pm, can also get a neck and shoulder massage from Julie Sterling, owner of Radlett Physiotherapy, as well as cakes and prosecco.

Contact Debbie Larkin on 07907 979823 to donate a prize, or Annabelle Wren on 07989 966171 to donate pre-loved items, which can be collected from your doorstep.
