There is heavy traffic in the Hemel Hempstead and Redbourn areas following a road traffic collision this morning (Monday, October 21).
Police were called at around 7.25am to reports of a road traffic collision involving a a red Kia Rio and a pedestrian in his 50s. He has been taken to hospital via air ambulance.
The incident occurred on the roundabout near the Redbourn MOT Centre.
The East of England Ambulance Service and the Air Ambulance Service also attended the scene.
The Kia remained at the scene.
Diversions have been put in place whilst the incident is being dealt with.
