HEARTFELT APPEAL: Charity urges community support as Big Give Christmas Challenge enters final days

Published on: 4th December 2025   |   By: News Desk   |   Category: Uncategorized

The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) Charity in Stanmore is making a heartfelt appeal to the local community as its Big Give Christmas Challenge enters its final crucial days.

With the fundraising window set to close at midday on Tuesday, December 9, supporters have only a short time left to secure matched donations that will directly benefit children and adults receiving specialist, life-changing care at the hospital.

The campaign, launched to coincide with Giving Tuesday, the global day dedicated to generosity and community action, aims to raise vital funds for patients with some of the most complex orthopaedic conditions in the UK. Thanks to the Big Give, every donation made this week will be doubled, meaning supporters have the rare opportunity to make twice the impact at no extra cost.

Among the stories inspiring this year’s appeal is that of Marnie, a young patient whose family has stepped forward to help raise awareness and support for the hospital. A photo of Marnie at the RNOH, shared as part of the charity’s campaign reel, has touched many who follow the charity’s work. Her experience represents the courage, resilience, and hope that define so many RNOH patients.

The RNOH Charity hopes that the local community will rally once again to help the hospital continue delivering world-leading care, pioneering treatments, and essential support that transforms lives.

Donations to the match-funding campaign can be made through the Big Give link, ensuring each contribution goes twice as far during the challenge period.

Full details of the fundraiser can also be found on the charity’s social media channels.
