VACCINE HUBS: Northwood residents to benefit from Ruislip COVID vaccination centre

Published on: 26th November 2020   |   By: Jake Levison   |   Category: Uncategorized

Hillingdon Borough Council (HBC) are preparing to provide vaccination hubs for Northwood and Ruislip residents.

HBC is planning to create the hubs for all Hillingdon residents at Ruislip Young People’s Centre in Bury Street, Ruislip and William Byrd Pool in Victoria Lane, Harlington.

The move was confirmed by council leader, Sir Ray Puddifoot, in a full council meeting on November 19.

During the meeting, the council also said the temporary mortuary that had been situated at Breakspear Crematorium would be re-established in the coming weeks.

Sir Ray Puddifoot added: “Between March 24 and November 18, the number of death registrations here (Hillingdon) which contain suspected COVID as the cause of death was 315.

“Accordingly, we cannot as a council or as a community become complacent. I would urge residents and businesses to continue following government guidelines.”
