Published on: 24th May 2024   |   By: Annabel Stock   |   Category: Uncategorized

A Hemel resident and hugely popular figure within Kings Langley F.C passed away yesterday.

Trevor Dealey, who lives in Hemel Hempstead and was born in Kings Langley, was hospitalised in Mexico on May 11 after going into cardiac arrest. He then developed an infection and was dependent on a ventilator.

Following this, his family set up a GoFundMe to raise funds for his treatment and flight back to the UK. A fundraising event called ‘Trev’s Day’ was planned to take place on Monday, May 27 at Kings Langley F.C.

Trevor served the club as groundsman for 7 years “worked tirelessly” for the club. Today, the club’s chairman announced the heartbreaking news.

He said: “Trevor was a hugely popular figure both within Kings Langley FC and amongst the wider local community and the last few days have served to emphasise the amount of love and affection felt towards him and his family.”

“Trev’s Day” will go ahead as planned with proceeds going towards the significant expenses incurred by Trevor’s family. The event starts at 2pm and there will be activities for all the family as the community celebrates his memory.
