Residents of the Three Rivers area are being asked for their views on a new strategy from the council that aims to protect the natural world within the district.
Three Rivers District Council (TRDC) have developed an outline of their Nature Recovery Strategy, with people having until 11pm on Sunday, January 11, 2023 to voice their opinions on it.
TRDC’s lead member of enviromental services, climate change and sustainability, councillor Phil Williams, said: “It is an immense duty to pass on our natural world to the generations that follow us, so the decisions we make today will have a huge importance for decades to come.
“That is why it is so important to cherish, protect and where possible do everything we can to enhance the glorious natural world around us – from the smallest insects to the grandest of old oaks. Please have a look at our draft strategy and have your say today.”
At the policy’s heart is a five-year action plan with four key themes of rivers and wetlands, trees and woodlands, urban environment and the countryside.
