Hemel Hempstead Town FC looked to keep pace with leaders Wealdstone this afternoon as they took on Bath City at Vauxhall Road.

But after encouraging early signs for the Tudors, it was Bath who went in front from the spot after Jack Midson handled in the area just after the half hour mark.

To their credit, Sammy Moore’s men kept going  and Liam Nash equalised in added time at the end of the first half.

After a Bath free kick hit the cross bar, Hemel Hempstead Town FC began to assert themselves on the game.

But the Tudors were reduced to ten men when Luke Howell was shown a straight red after a late tackle.

As the game drew to a close, it looked like the Tudors would have to settle for a point but they went in front after Tyrone Sterling’s shot hit the post and fell to the feet of Jack Midson.

After five minutes injury time, the Tudors held on to take all three points and tighten their grip on second place after leaders Wealdstone suffered a shock defeat.
