A cannabis factory with an estimated £50,000 street value was discovered in St Albans this morning, after officers were tipped off by CCTV operators.
The CCTV operators from St Albans City and District Council spotted people acting suspiciously by a car in Russell Square just before 3am on Tuesday, November 29.
Officers found the car parked at an address in Stapley Road, which had been broken into and contained over 100 cannabis plants, across seven rooms.
A 20-year-old man from Stevenage and a 26-year-old man of no fixed abode were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary. They are currently in police custody. Enquiries continue.
The plants have been seized and will be destroyed.
