St Lauras Care Home in Kings Langley had a great cause for celebration recently as they marked the anniversary of their first birthday.
On Wednesday, December 9 the care home located on the High Street celebrated the anniversary of welcoming their first resident Margaret.
Anna Iversen, who works at the care home, said it has been a very strange year with lots of events being cancelled.
She said: “It’s been a very difficult year really because residents have been pretty much stuck in here since March.
“It’s been horrible for them because in the old days we used to go to the high street and take day trips and suddenly everything got cancelled.”
Anna added that everyone has adapted extremely well and they have “made the best of it.”
She said: “It’s been a tough year, but they’ve been brilliant, none of them have ever complained that they can only see relatives through windows or anything, they’ve just got on with it.”
