A man has admitted attacking his boyfriend and harassing him at his St Albans workplace.
Luton resident Vincent Flemons, 49, was charged at St Albans Crown Court with five offences of domestic abuse towards the man.
Before the start of a trial he admitted a charge of simple harassment and one of assault by beating on June 6 last year.
Prosecutor Jollyon Robertson told Judge Sandeep Kainth that those pleas were acceptable.
Describing the assault, he said the victim said Flemons walked into the bathroom and told him he was going to kill him and held onto his throat for 10 seconds.
Gareth James, defending, said Flemons had told the victim to leave his flat after an argument. When the victim made the comment, Flemons accepts he walked into the bathroom and grabbed him one handed around the collar bone and pinned him for 3 seconds against the wall. He denied threatening to kill him.
He said Flemons, of Clarendon Road, Luton, had already spent 19 weeks in custody.
Flemons, who was visibly upset in the dock, was remanded in custody. He is due to be sentenced on February 21.
