Berkhamsted FC extended their unbeaten run to seven games against Bedworth United, but it’s the first time since New Year’s Day that The Comrades aren’t on the winning side.
Bedworth, the home side, broke the deadlock on the 5th minute of the game when Dudley’s cross found Rowe at the back post, who expertly headed the ball home.
The Comrades didn’t have to wait long to bring the game back to square one, Chamberlain stepped up brilliantly to dispatch his free kick beyond the Bedworth goalkeeper.
Oladimeji Olajabu put Berko in front on the 36th minute when a cross dropped in front of him, and he made no mistake to snatch the lead.
Moments before half time, Bedworth ensured that things were back on level terms Truslove chipped the ball over Comas-Leon and it trickled over the goal line.
Jonathan Lacey had a few opportunities in the second half to give Berko the lead once more, and his volley in the latter stages of the game was arguably the best chance of the half, but it went narrowly over the bar.
The Comrades are now second in the table, two points below Halesowen Town, as their fight for promotion continues next weekend at home to Biggleswade.
